Baby X
Dublin Core
Title
Baby X
Description
Speculating on what would happen if scientists conducted an experiment where a child was raised without the expectation to follow a rigid binary gender role - even using 'it/its' pronouns - and how both the child’s peers and their parents would react once the child started school.
This short film is an adaptation of X: A Fabulous Child's Story by Lois Gould. It was originally published in the magazine Ms. in 1972, and a few years later, it was published as a children’s book in 1978 with illustrations by Jacqueline Chwast. The short uses a similar art style to Chwast’s original illustrations.
