Wonder Woman: Bloodlines
Dublin Core
Title
Wonder Woman: Bloodlines
Description
Note: This film contains violence.
Showcases the origin story of Wonder Woman including how she became a superhero and regained the respect of her fellow Amazons.
Etta Candy, a character in the Wonder Woman comics, is portrayed as a lesbian. Depending on the writer, her queerness may be more coded or explicitly depicted. In one of Greg Rucka's storylines for the 2016 comic Wonder Woman, her attraction toward women was explicitly shown. Interestingly, though not depicted in this film, other characters like Barbara Ann Minerva and Wonder Woman herself are canonically queer in Rucka's comic.
